Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival

It's been a great partnership with The Literacy Project and LALIFF.  A workshop on acting was one event the kids went to, hosted by Tom Draper, the acting coach for Colin Draper and others.  We think he will come to El Centro and work more with The Literacy Project and  The Leadership Program.

And this invitation to one of our students:

Luisa and I would love for Gloria to attend the LALIFF immigration panel this Tuesday, August 24, 2010, 5-7 p.m.  It will be at the Renaissance Hotel at Hollywood & Highland.  I would be happy to pick her up for the event and drive her back to her home afterwards.  Given her deep interest and ongoing endeavors within Chicano rights , it is our hope she will find it illuminating and that it will help connect her with the social activist leaders below.  Would it be possible to request permission from her parents? Do they need to sign something? I know she is free and Publish Postwould like to go.  How do we make this happen?

This is the info on the panel:
